This year, more than 1,100 contestants with approximately 2000 products from over 30 nations took part in one of the world´s key design competitions.
Since the introduction of the iF product design award in 1953, the iF awards have evolved into a reliable and famous benchmark for outstanding design. This year, the VIVO spotlight system and the CLEAN clean-room luminaire have been awarded these "Design Oscars" in the "Light" category.
The official award ceremony will take place on 9 March 2006, at the world´s biggest computer trade fair, CeBIT Hannover 2006. The iF Design Exhibition 2006 will also be opened on that day. It will be shown until October, and each year attracts some 300,000 international visitors from relevant target groups, who seek information on the latest design trends.
